Cults is an indie pop band from New York City, formed in 2010. They gained early attention with their first EP released on Bandcamp and later released their self-titled debut album through Lily Allen's In the Name Of label, part of Sony Music, in 2011. Their song Bad Things from that album was notably sampled by rapper J Cole for his 2013 single She Knows, where Cults were featured as guest artists.
