D'Addario J814 4/4M G Violin Strings

D'Addario Prelude Violin Single G String — Warm Tone and Durability for Full-Size Violins

The D'Addario Prelude Violin Single G String is a replacement G string designed for 4/4 scale violins at medium tension. Built around a solid steel core with nickel winding and a ball end, it addresses the common need for an affordable, long-lasting string that still produces a warm, full sound. Unlike synthetic-core alternatives, the steel core construction makes this string unaffected by temperature and humidity changes, maintaining stable pitch and excellent bow response in any playing environment. The Prelude line is widely recognized as the educator's preferred choice for student strings, offering a blend of warm tone, durability, and value. This single G string allows players to replace a worn or broken string without purchasing an entire set, making it a practical addition to any violin case.
