Dave Grusin, born June 26, 1934, is an acclaimed American composer, jazz pianist, and record producer. Renowned for his memorable film and television scores, he has received an Academy Award and ten Grammy Awards. Grusin is known for his collaborations with director Sydney Pollack on films such as Three Days of the Condor, Tootsie, and The Firm. In 1978, he co-founded GRP Records, becoming a pioneer in digital recording.
