Decapitated is a Polish technical death metal band formed in 1996 in Krosno. Founded by guitarist and composer Wacław Vogg Kiełtyka and his brother Witold Vitek Kiełtyka, the band quickly made a name for themselves in the global metal scene with their precision and innovation. Known for their complex musicianship and relentless energy, they have become one of the most respected acts in modern death metal. Over the years, Decapitated has released several acclaimed albums, including Winds of Creation, Nihility, The Negation, Organic Hallucinosis, Carnival Is Forever, Blood Mantra, Anticult, and Cancer Culture. Despite facing tragedy in 2007, the band reformed and continues to evolve, earning a devoted international following and recognition as leaders in technical death metal. The current lineup features Vogg on guitar, Eemeli Bodde on vocals, Paweł Pasek on bass, and James Stewart on drums.
