Def Leppard

Def Leppard is an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1977, key figures in the new wave of British heavy metal. The classic lineup since 1992 features Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen, and Vivian Campbell. The band rose to fame in the 1980s with their melodic hard rock style, achieving major success with the albums Pyromania and Hysteria, both certified Diamond in the US. Hysteria remains one of the best-selling rock albums, featuring hits like Love Bites and Pour Some Sugar on Me. After the death of guitarist Steve Clark in 1991, the band continued to top charts worldwide, with albums such as Adrenalize and greatest hits collections like Vault. Def Leppard has sold over 100 million records globally and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, securing their place among the most successful rock bands in history.
