Vocal effects processor designed for live performances with intelligent harmony recognition thanks to the musIQ technology. After plugging in a guitar, the processor automatically takes care of the right harmonies by recognizing the chords played on the guitar. Both harmonic voices can be separately controlled. Vocalist provides an array of pitch FX effects, distortion / EQ filters, doubling singing, modulation effects, delays and reverbs from Lexicon. The interface consists of a large LED display, three footswitches, four potentiometers and small buttons for individual effects and features. The Gold Channel button controls a built in mic preamp with phantom power, De-Esser, Pitch Correction and a compressor from dbx. The Live Adapt function uses the built-in microphone to automatically adjust the tempo, noise gate and harmony during the performance. With the Sound Check feature, the user can record a short track that repeats itself and apply different settings to it, allowing the musician to craft his desired sound without the need to constantly sing. dbx Automatic Feedback Suppression suppresses undesired feedback in real time. The processor also contains a Looper that lets you record a 70-second loop with unlimited layers, a guitar tuner and Set List Manager that lets the user create effect presets for each song. Presets can also be managed by USB using the PC application. Vocalist is powered by a 9V adapter, which is included.
