Editors are a rock band from Birmingham, England, formed in 2002. The group, once known as Pilot, The Pride, and Snowfield, currently features Tom Smith, Russell Leetch, Ed Lay, Justin Lockey, Elliott Williams, and Benjamin John Power. Editors gained prominence with their debut album The Back Room in 2005, which included hit singles like Munich and Blood and earned a Mercury Prize nomination. Their next album, An End Has a Start, topped the UK Albums Chart in 2007 and brought them a Brit Awards nomination. They have since released a series of successful albums, including In This Light and on This Evening, The Weight of Your Love, In Dream, Violence, and EBM, building a reputation for powerful anthems and a dark, atmospheric sound.
