Einherjer is a Viking metal band from Haugesund, Norway, formed in 1993. Their music ranges from folk-influenced sounds to symphonic black metal, with lyrics rooted in Norse mythology and each album built around its own theme. After disbanding in 2004 following the release of Blot, the band’s members briefly formed the thrash project Battered before reuniting as Einherjer in 2008. Since then, they have released several more albums, including North Star in 2021, and continue to be a standout name in the Viking metal scene.
