Aangestuurd met een goede draagbare hi-res muziekspeler (DAP) of DAC-dongle presteren deze in-ears waanzinnig. Ik durf te stellen dat ze met een gedegen aansturing de meeste full-size koptelefoons onder de duizend euro overtreffen, open modellen incluis. Hebben met hun lage nominale impedantie (14 Ohm) en tevens lage gevoeligheid (93 dB) baat bij een bron met een lage uitgangsimpedantie van maximaal 1 Ohm en een zo hoog mogelijk uitgangsvermogen. Vanwege het enigszins warme klankkarakter helpt een bron met een warm-neutrale tot heldere signatuur ook. Een ESS-DAC zal deze in-ears goed doen. Blijven in je oren het beste op hun plek als je zit en niet te veel beweegt, en zijn daarom niet uitermate geschikt voor buitengebruik. Afgezien daarvan een aanrader.

Because of the somewhat warm sound character, a source with a warm-neutral to bright signature also helps. An ESS DAC will do these in-ears good. They stay in your ears best when you are sitting and not moving too much, and are therefore not ideally suited for outdoor use. Apart from that, recommended.
