Garbage is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Madison, Wisconsin, featuring Shirley Manson on vocals, Duke Erikson on guitar, bass, and keyboards, Steve Marker on guitar and keyboards, and Butch Vig on drums and percussion. Renowned for their blend of alternative rock, electronic, and pop influences, the band is known for their distinctive sound and collaborative approach to songwriting and production. Garbage achieved major success with their debut album in 1995, which included hits like "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains," and went double platinum in several countries. Their second album, Version 2.0, topped the UK charts and earned Grammy nominations. The group also recorded the theme for the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
