Goldfrapp was an English electronic music duo from London, formed in 1999 by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory. Known for their evolving sound, the duo released seven studio albums, starting with the cinematic Felt Mountain in 2000. Their breakthrough came with Black Cherry and Supernature, which blended synth-pop and glam rock and earned multiple US dance chart-toppers and a Grammy nomination. Goldfrapp continued to reinvent their style with the dreamy, folk-inspired Seventh Tree, the 1980s-flavored Head First, and the critically acclaimed folktronica album Tales of Us. Their final album, Silver Eye, appeared in 2017. As of 2022, Goldfrapp is on indefinite hiatus, with Alison Goldfrapp pursuing a solo career.
