Gorilla Biscuits are a hardcore punk band from New York City, formed in 1986. With roots in the New York hardcore scene, the group features Anthony Civarelli, Walter Schreifels, Arthur Smilios, and Luke Abbey. After founding members Smilios and Civ met in high school on Long Island, the band released their self-titled debut in 1988, followed by the influential album Start Today in 1989. Signed to Revelation Records, Gorilla Biscuits are recognized as pioneers of the youth crew movement in hardcore punk.
