Holders for harmonicas

A harmonica holder keeps the instrument in front of your mouth while leaving both hands free for a guitar, keyboard or another accompanying instrument. You can use it when playing at home, at rehearsals and on stage. The harmonica position should be adjustable without forcing you to lean your head forward unnaturally. The holder must also fit the width of the harmonica and keep its setting while you play.

Comfort and adjustment while playing

Before buying, check the adjustment range for height, distance from your mouth and instrument angle. The support around your neck or shoulders should be stable without pressing during longer sessions. If you change harmonicas between songs, a mount that can be released and secured again without lengthy readjustment is practical.

Checks before a performance

• Insert the harmonica and check that the mount neither squeezes it nor allows it to slip.
• Set the position at the same height at which you will play the accompanying instrument.
• Test inhaling, exhaling and moving your head without the holder shifting.
• For travel, fold it according to its design and protect the adjustment parts from bending.
