Interpol

Interpol

Interpol is a rock band from Manhattan, New York, formed in 1997. The original lineup featured Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler, Carlos Dengler, and Greg Drudy, with Sam Fogarino replacing Drudy in 2000. Dengler departed in 2010, leading Banks to take on bass duties. Known for their distinctive blend of staccato bass lines, harmonized guitars, and snare-driven rhythms, Interpol helped define the New York indie scene and played a key role in the 2000s post-punk revival. Their debut album, Turn On the Bright Lights, received wide critical acclaim and is often cited as a defining record of its era. Subsequent albums, including Antics and Our Love to Admire, solidified their reputation. The band is recognized for collaborative songwriting and continues to release new music and tour, celebrating milestones such as the anniversaries of their landmark albums.
