Joanne Shaw Taylor is an English singer and guitarist, recognized for her powerful blues-rock style. Discovered at 16 by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, she gained attention with her albums White Sugar and Diamonds in the Dirt, both reaching the top ten on the US Billboard Blues Albums chart. Her 2021 release, The Blues Album, topped the chart and further established her reputation. Taylor has twice won Best Female Vocalist at the British Blues Awards and was honored as Songwriter of the Year for her track Same as It Never Was.
