Jon Batiste is an acclaimed American musician, composer, and television personality known for his dynamic blend of jazz, soul, and contemporary music. He has collaborated with icons such as Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Ed Sheeran, and Lana Del Rey. From 2015 to 2022, Batiste gained national recognition as the bandleader and musical director for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert alongside his band Stay Human. He serves as music director at The Atlantic and as Creative Director at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Batiste co-composed the Academy Award-winning score for the Pixar film Soul and has earned seven Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for his 2021 release We Are. His recent projects include the documentary American Symphony and a key role in the 2024 film Saturday Night, where he also contributed the score.
