Kasabian is an English rock band from Leicester, formed in 1997. The original lineup included Tom Meighan, Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Karloff, and Chris Edwards, with Ian Matthews joining as drummer in 2004. After several lineup changes, Pizzorno now leads the band as vocalist. Known for energetic live shows and a sound influenced by The Stone Roses, Primal Scream, and Oasis, Kasabian has released eight albums, including Kasabian, Empire, and Happenings. Their music often stands outside typical indie rock, blending electronic and rock elements. The group is acclaimed for dynamic performances, highlighted by headlining the 2014 Glastonbury Festival, and has received awards such as the Brit Award for Best British Group and multiple Q and NME Awards.
