Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California, formed in 1996. The current lineup includes Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain. The band's original vocalist Chester Bennington and drummer Rob Bourdon were key members until Bennington's passing in 2017 and Bourdon's later departure. After a lengthy hiatus, Linkin Park returned in 2024 with new members Armstrong and Brittain.
Known for their mix of alternative rock, nu metal, and elements of hip hop and electronica, Linkin Park achieved major worldwide success with their debut album Hybrid Theory in 2000, followed by Meteora and several other chart-topping albums. Their sound has evolved over time, moving from heavy nu metal and rap-rock to more experimental and pop-driven styles, while their latest release, From Zero, revisits their early influences.
With over 100 million records sold, Linkin Park ranks among the best-selling artists of the century. They have won multiple major music awards, including Grammys and MTV awards, and are widely recognized for shaping rock music in the 2000s and beyond.
