Luke Howard is an acclaimed Australian composer and pianist from Melbourne. Known for his emotive and cinematic style, he began improvising at a young age, guided by piano teacher Nehama Patkin, and later studied at the Victorian College of the Arts. His album The Sand That Ate the Sea, created as a soundtrack for a film exploring the opal mining town of Andamooka, South Australia, earned him a nomination at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards. Howard also leads the Luke Howard Trio, featuring Jonathan Zion on bass and Daniel Farrugia on drums.
