M83 is a French electronic rock group formed in Antibes in 1999. Originally a duo of Nicolas Fromageau and Anthony Gonzalez, the project has since become Gonzalez’s solo endeavor as its main songwriter and vocalist. M83 is known for blending dream pop, new wave, shoegaze, and ambient sounds. Their breakthrough came in 2011 with the single "Midnight City" from the Grammy-nominated album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. The band has released nine studio albums and two soundtracks, often featuring guest musicians, and is signed to Mute Records.
