Modest Mouse is an American rock band that began in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, and is now based in Portland, Oregon. Led by Isaac Brock, the group first gained critical attention with albums like The Lonesome Crowded West and The Moon and Antarctica before breaking into the mainstream with Good News for People Who Love Bad News, featuring the hit singles Float On and Ocean Breathes Salty. Over the years, the lineup has shifted, with notable members including Jeremiah Green, Eric Judy, Johnny Marr, Joe Plummer, Tom Peloso, and Jim Fairchild. As of 2024, Isaac Brock remains the band’s sole original member.
