Music Caps

Music caps feature band logos and artwork, most often from rock and metal: The Beatles, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden. You'll also find hip-hop from Wu-Tang Clan and Eminem, pop-punk from Blink-182, K-pop from BLACKPINK and caps from guitar brand Fender. Most models are classic baseball caps in one size, alongside snapbacks, trucker caps with mesh backs and stretch caps in two sizes. Black is the main colour, but you'll also find designs on grey, blue, beige and white caps.

Baseball cap, snapback or trucker: what's the difference?

Alongside caps, there are also a few bucket hats that shade your head all the way around.

How can you tell whether a cap will fit?

Size UNI has an adjustable circumference to fit most adult heads. Stretch caps without a fastening come in sizes S/M and L/XL. Measure your head with a tailor's tape about a centimetre above your eyebrows and ears, then compare the measurement with the cap's size chart.

Most caps are made of cotton, which is comfortable for all-day wear. Trucker caps have a mesh rear section, while stretch models contain elastane to hold their shape. Check the label before washing: a peak with a stiff insert can lose its shape in the washing machine, so washing the cap by hand is safer.

Which cap should you choose as a gift for a music fan?

Start with the band the recipient listens to, then choose the design. A band logo goes with almost anything, while album or song artwork is more likely to appeal to a dedicated fan: Iron Maiden have a cap featuring artwork for the song The Trooper, and Metallica have one featuring the album ...And Justice For All. A Fender cap with a pick holder makes a welcome gift for a guitarist.

You can add a music T-shirt featuring the same band to go with the cap. In winter, a music beanie can take its place, and you'll find more fan merchandise in the music merchandise category.
