Oliver Alexander Thornton, born 15 July 1990, is an English singer, actor, and LGBTQ activist best known as the frontman of Years and Years. The group scored two UK number one albums, a number one single, and five top ten hits, earning six Brit Award nominations before disbanding in 2024. As an actor, Alexander gained critical acclaim for his lead role in the Channel 4 series It's a Sin, receiving nominations from the BAFTA, Critics' Choice, and Independent Spirit Awards. In 2024, he represented the UK at Eurovision with "Dizzy," his first solo release. His debut solo album, Polari, was released in February 2025.
