Armando Christian Pérez, known as Pitbull, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to fame in the early 2000s. Starting out in reggaeton, Latin hip hop, and crunk, he released his debut album M.I.A.M.I. in 2004. Pitbull broke into the mainstream with hits like I Know You Want Me Calle Ocho and Hotel Room Service from his album Rebelution in 2009. He later shifted toward a pop sound, releasing successful albums like Planet Pit and Global Warming, featuring chart-topping singles such as Give Me Everything with Ne-Yo and Timber with Kesha. Pitbull has collaborated with major artists including Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, and Usher, and performed the official song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Over his career, he has sold more than 25 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, earning numerous accolades including 35 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Beyond music, he is involved in philanthropy, owns a Sirius XM radio station, and is a co-owner of Trackhouse Racing in NASCAR.
