Rob Wasserman (1952–2016) was an acclaimed American bassist and composer. A Grammy winner and recipient of an NEA grant, he collaborated with renowned artists such as Bob Weir, Elvis Costello, Jerry Garcia, Neil Young, Lou Reed, and many others. Wasserman is especially celebrated for his own trilogy of albums Solo, Duets, and Trios, which showcased his innovative approach to the bass and diverse musical partnerships.
