Seed beads

Seed beads are small glass beads with a hole for threading and bead embroidery. You can use them to make bracelets, necklaces, earrings and decorations for clothing. On this page, you’ll find Czech Knorr Prandell Bohemian Rocailles seed beads with a diameter of 2.5 mm, packed in jars containing 13 to 17 g. What can you make with 2.5 mm seed beads?

Seed beads with a diameter of 2.5 mm are small beads for delicate patterns. Thread them onto elastic or fine thread to make a bracelet, necklace or pendant. For bead embroidery, sew them onto fabric or felt using a fine needle. Most colours come as round beads. The silver-coloured beads measuring 2 × 5 mm are bugle beads, and several mixes combine round beads with bugle beads.

How do you choose a colour for your seed beads?

• Single colours: from white, beige and lemon yellow through carmine and burgundy to ultramarine, black and anthracite.
• Transparent beads: clear crystal, transparent green, transparent sky blue and a transparent multicoloured mix let light pass through.
• Metallic, pearlescent and iridescent beads: metallic green and blue, pearlescent sky blue, iridescent green, and gold or silver shades.
• Mixes: each jar contains 2 to 3 coordinated colours, such as white, turquoise and silver, or a colourful mix of pastel, neon or metallic shades.
