Smith/Kotzen is a collaboration between Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden and Richie Kotzen of The Winery Dogs. Blending blues, hard rock, R and B, and touches of jazz fusion, their debut album arrived in March 2021, following the release of the single Taking My Chances. Both artists share guitar, bass, vocals, songwriting, and production on the album, with Kotzen handling drums on most tracks and Tal Bergman contributing to three songs. Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain also appears as a guest on Solar Fire.
