Steve Forbert is an acclaimed American pop and folk singer-songwriter, best known for his hit "Romeo's Tune" from 1979, which climbed into the top 15 on both the US and Canadian charts. Rising to prominence with his first four albums, he found particular success with Jackrabbit Slim, which went gold in Canada. Forbert's enduring career includes 21 studio albums and several Grammy nominations, most notably for Any Old Time in 2004. His songs have been covered by artists such as Rosanne Cash and Keith Urban, and in 2017, his influence was celebrated with a tribute album featuring twenty-one performers.
