Taylor Swift Vinyl LP Records

Taylor Swift is an American singer and songwriter who released her first album, Taylor Swift, as a sixteen-year-old country singer and later moved on to pop, synth-pop and quiet folk. This page brings together her vinyl LP records, from the debut all the way to The Life Of A Showgirl from 2025. Most releases come on coloured vinyl, so for some albums you also get to choose the colour of the record. She re-recorded four of her earlier albums, and these releases carry the label Taylor's Version.

Taylor's Version or the original album: what's the difference?

Taylor's Version is a new recording of an older album. Taylor Swift made these recordings after the rights to the original recordings of her first six albums passed to another owner in 2019. Fearless and Red came out this way in 2021, followed by Speak Now and 1989 in 2023. The new recordings stick to the original arrangements, and each release adds songs marked From The Vault that didn't make it onto the album back then.

You can get Red in both forms: the original Red on two records and Red (Taylor's Version) on four. The new version is longer partly because it includes the ten-minute version of All Too Well. Fearless (Taylor's Version) comes on three gold records, and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) on three records of marbled orchid-coloured vinyl.

Which Taylor Swift album is country and which is synth-pop?

  • Country runs through the debut Taylor Swift and the album Fearless, where acoustic guitars and coming-of-age stories take the lead.
  • Country pop and pop rock come with Speak Now and Red, which add electric guitars and radio-ready choruses to the country sound.
  • Synth-pop built on synthesizers and electronic drums defines 1989 as well as Midnights from 2022.
  • Pop with calmer, romantic songs is what you'll hear on Lover from 2019.
  • Indie folk ties together the pair Folklore and Evermore, which she recorded during the pandemic in 2020.

The Tortured Poets Department from 2024 is available both as an album on two records of ivory-coloured vinyl and as the expanded edition The Anthology on four records. The Life Of A Showgirl from 2025 was released on a single orange glitter record in the colour Portofino.

One record or four, and which vinyl colour should you choose?

The number of records in the package depends on the length of the album. Midnights and The Life Of A Showgirl fit on one record, most albums come on two, and Red (Taylor's Version) and The Anthology on four. All of them are 12-inch LPs and almost all of them play at 33 1/3 RPM; you'll always find the speed in the record's specifications.

Coloured vinyl is a collector's choice. For Midnights, for example, you choose between the shades Moonstone Blue and Jade Green, and for 1989 (Taylor's Version) between Crystal Skies Blue and Tangerine. The Deluxe Edition of Folklore and Evermore adds bonus tracks; Folklore comes on brown vinyl marked In The Trees, Evermore on green. You'll find the same albums on CD on the Taylor Swift Music CDs page.
