Tenor saxophone cases and bags: hard case or soft bag?

A hard case is useful when your saxophone travels in a car boot, on a bus or among other luggage. BAM Cabine 4012SNN has an ABS shell and a dense, injected polyurethane foam interior that cushions impacts and buffers sudden changes in temperature. Gator GL-TENORSAX-PRO has a rigid ABS frame covered in 1680D nylon, hideaway backpack straps and two large exterior pockets for reeds, mouthpieces and a neck strap. It is approximately 857 mm long and weighs 4.6 kg.
