The Durutti Column is a post-punk band from Manchester, England, formed in 1978. Centered around guitarist and pianist Vini Reilly, with long-time collaborators Bruce Mitchell on drums and Keir Stewart on bass, keyboards and harmonica, the group became one of Factory Records’ earliest signings, known for their atmospheric and distinctive sound.
