The Prodigy is an English electronic music group formed in 1990 in Braintree, led by Liam Howlett. Pioneers of the rave and electronic punk scene, the band became famous in the 1990s with a lineup including MC Maxim, dancer and vocalist Keith Flint, and dancer Leeroy Thornhill. Recognized as influential "Godfathers of Rave," they broke into the mainstream with hits like "Charly," "Firestarter," and "Breathe," and their 1997 album "The Fat of the Land" topped charts worldwide. Known for their high-energy sound and live performances, The Prodigy has sold over 25 million records globally, earned multiple major awards, and remains one of the most celebrated electronic acts, now continuing as a duo after the departures of Thornhill and Flint.
