Virgin Prunes were a Dublin-based post-punk and gothic rock band formed in 1977. Known for their experimental sound and theatrical performances, they became a distinctive presence in the Irish music scene. After singer Gavin Friday left in 1986, the remaining members continued as The Prunes until their split in 1991.
