Waltari is a Helsinki-based Finnish band recognized for their innovative fusion of metal genres—including progressive, alternative, and extreme metal—with elements from hip hop, pop, industrial, techno, punk, and hard rock. Led by primary songwriter Kärtsy Hatakka, Waltari is also known as a launching pad for notable Finnish musicians such as Sami Yli-Sirniö of Kreator, Roope Latvala of Children of Bodom, and Janne Parviainen of Ensiferum.
