Washi tape

Washi tape is a thin decorative adhesive tape in patterns and colours that you can use to decorate a scrapbook, planner, greeting card or gift wrapping. On this page you will find Heyda Deco Tape and Deco Tapes paper tapes in widths of 6 to 18 mm and lengths of 3 or 5 m, mostly in sets of 4 or 5 rolls. What can you use washi tape for?

With washi tape you can frame a photo in an album, highlight a heading in your bullet journal or planner, attach a note to a notebook or decorate an invitation. It holds well on paper and card, so it also works for wrapping gifts and making seasonal decorations. The tapes in one set have matching colours and patterns, so you can layer them and combine them side by side. Narrower rolls suit details and edges, wider ones larger areas. What widths and lengths of washi tape are available?

Heyda Deco Tape Mini sets contain five narrow rolls, 12 mm wide and 3 m long, together with a plastic dispenser from which the tape unrolls easily. The larger Deco Tapes sets have 5 m rolls in widths of 12 or 15 mm, and some also include a 6 mm and an 18 mm roll. They come in a clear plastic box with an edge for tearing off the tape. The sparkly Glittertape tapes are 15 mm wide and 3 m long, with three rolls in each pack.

Paper or glitter washi tape?

Paper washi tape has a matt or glossy finish and delicate patterns, holds well on paper and card and unrolls easily. Glittertape is made of plastic, sticks more strongly and also holds on other smooth surfaces. Thanks to its sturdier structure, it is easy to work with even over longer stretches and gives your project a festive shine. For your planner and delicate edges, reach for paper tape; for bold accents on an invitation or gift, go for the glitter one.
