Xasthur is the solo project of American musician Scott Conner, who initially gained recognition for his atmospheric black metal releases from 1995 to 2010. After briefly ending the project, Conner revived Xasthur in 2015 with a shift toward acoustic neofolk, debuting this new direction with the 2016 album Subject to Change.
