Essential replacement for Maple Custom series toms, but not only… unfortunately the material is subject to failure especially if the block is subjected to considerable tension from the tie rod. Purchased 5 to fix an old Dave Weckl Signature first series snare drum that is now being retired, also because these spare parts are becoming increasingly difficult to find and expensive… I know from a reliable source that Yamaha no longer has the machinery to produce them so if you have a drum that has or may need them, buy a few more so as not to regret it in the future but do not hope that they will hold medium-high tunings for long…
