EAW RS118 — 18" Powered Subwoofer for Live Sound

The EAW RS118 is a self-powered 18" subwoofer built for concerts, corporate AV, live clubs, concert halls, theaters, auditoriums, and houses of worship. Inside the vented RoadCoat enclosure sits an 18" (457 mm) cone transducer with a 76 mm voice coil, driven by an on-board 1500W Class-D amplifier with Power Factor Correction. EAW's signature DynO dynamic optimization algorithms manage power transfer from amp to driver for improved headroom at maximum output, delivering 133 dB peak SPL down to 27 Hz from a portable 40 kg cabinet.

DynO DSP and Dual Tuning Modes

What separates this cabinet from generic 18" powered subs is the integrated DSP with EAW DynO processing and dual application-specific tunings — Normal and Punch — selectable on the rear panel. A switchable 80 Hz or 110 Hz crossover hands off cleanly to matching RS123, RS151, RS153, or RS121 tops in the EAW family, while the DynO algorithm protects the driver and extends usable headroom at peak output.
